When one of our volunteers heard about a little pup stuck in an abusive situation, she took in young Avery, a Min Pin/Boston mix of approximately 7 months old, and nursed her back to health and confidence. With over a month of training and reassurance, Avery went from a scared, anxious and excitable pup with no manners to the intelligent, calm and gorgeous little lady she is today!
Avery is now completely house trained, crate trained, walks wonderfully on the leash, silent in the house (she rarely barks) and knows all her basic commands (sit, down, stay, shake a paw). She is wonderful with cats, good with dogs (she often ignores them) and is now spayed, vaccinated and dewormed.
Please note that Avery will not be at any Cause 4 Paws adoption days. Her adoption goes through her foster home directly. There is an adoption fee and potential adopters will be screened to ensure that she is going to the perfect forever home. She will not be adopted into a home with young children.
If interested in adopting Avery or if you would like more information about her, please contact her foster mom at amy.murdoch@gmail.com
Here is a little video of Avery playing with one of her favorite toys!
